Welcome to the Conowingo Bass Anglers Website ENJOY! Under no circumstances are any club members liable for anything posted or said on this website. We are small but competitive group of anglers that thank our loving wife's and girl friends for the opportunity to fish the water sheds of the Chesapeake Bay.  Our goal is to become Mr. Bass, the top dog!

Brent Thackston wins the 2009 "Mr. Bass" title for the second straight year!  After a neck and neck race between Brent and Donnie all year, Brent managed to find a few fish on the final tournament.  We had  tough conditions between flood tides and "tropical depression" winds.  Brent  was again "Mr. Consistent", having his worst showing at Sassafras only because of a battery problem which lead to a penalty.  He also won the largest one day bag at the first tournament of the year in Joppatowne.  Congratulations to Brent on such a great year!

 Some other highlights of the year was Donnie winning the largest two day bag on the Potomac.  No official award was given, but Lil Buz unofficially won the smallest bass any of us had ever seen on the last tournament of the year.  Ryan had the heaviest Largemouth and Smallmouth for the season.  He also unofficially won the "guy who gets beat the most by one ounce" award as well.
